The Golden Thread is an independent family centred creative workshop based in Bristol, UK.  Specialising in handmade homeware made from responsibly and where possible, locally sourced, natural materials. The products crafted are made with small scale, low impact processes by human hands.

The Golden Thread strives to create conscientiously at a heart driven pace. Honouring traditional crafts and natural materials that nurture and sustain us, that are considerate to this beautiful earth on which we tread, with aims of keeping it so. 

To build further towards this principle I am currently looking for an independent Potter to collaborate with, so that the pots available with our plant hangers can also be handmade products. If this might be you please get in touch!

Alongside making in the Golden Thread workshop I also run regular handwork classes for children, teaching traditional crafts such as knitting, weaving, crochet, macrame, wet felting and hand sewing.
